JBrief Introduction of JSFA288 JSFA288 cotton comber is designed for the cotton combing process. The leading fiber fringe of the cotton lap is combed by the cylinder wire while being held effectively by the nippers and a tuft is detached by precise intermittent movements of the detaching rollers. During combing, unwanted short fibers, naps, impurities, and fiber faults in the cotton lap are removed by cylinder wire and top comb, which also combs the rear end of the fiber tuft, taken off from the lap. In addition, the fibers are drafted further during this detaching motion, to improve the straightness and parallelization of the fibers. The combed cotton sliver produced by this machine can then be passed on to subsequent spinning process, with the final yarn produced having higher yarn strength, less hairiness and better luster. The comber is an indispensable process for the spinning of the high-count yarns, blended yarns, and special yarns. Main Structural Features of JSFA288 Cotton Comber The machine adopts the large color touch screen ( imported) to realize man-machine communication. It makes operation and maintenance of machine easier, convenient and operator-friendly. The machine adopts the programmable controller to control the machine operation. The inverter is used for main motor, and the adjustment of nips per minute can be realized easily by operating on the touch screen, using the man-machine interface, without gear changes. The complete running process is easy, convenient, stable, and reliable. The machine can be preset to clear the short fiber on the cylinder periodically, to ensure effective combing of the cylinder and the quality of combed sliver. The machine performance is stable, safe and reliable. Various stop motions and safety switches on the door covers are designed for preventing accidents and to detect incidences. The headstock of the machine adopts oil bath lubrication, with all engineered parts manufactured to very high precision to assure high speed running of the machine. Applying proper length of crank to decrease the turning angle of the nipper shaft, the angular velocity and acceleration are decreased. The rotating inertia is thus decreased accordingly, which improves the quality of cotton laps. Firm gripping between the nipper plates and the cotton lap is made more reliable and consistent by supplying pressure at 2 pressure points. It uses outer ratchet feed roller with simple structure and light weight to decrease the inertia, so that the nipper can nip the fiber stably and effectively in high speed running. The lap feed roller and the top comb are designed to sit at a more forward position, this shortens the floating distance of fibers, favoring control of short fibers. This decreases the amount of long good fiber in the noil, and hence waste percentage. The lengths of the connecting rods are optimized and tooth ratio of the rear planet gear changed to reduce the ? net advance? greatly. Hence, the piecing length of cotton tuft can be increased, which leads to high success rate of piecing, and improves the combing efficiency. The pneumatically weighted rollers then ensure the final cohesive binding of the successive tuft piercing. The adjustable cotton? collecting rod ( patented) controls the cotton web formation and its proper delivery. It helps to reduce disturbing fluff accumulation at selvedges, and streamline air current, and eliminate static electricity. The bow shape position plate ( for cylinder positioning) , has various position setting angles ( 36, 36.5, 37 degree) . Various specifications of cylinders ( 90, 110 degree) , can be selected to meet the requirements for all kinds of cottons, yarn counts and processing requirements. The intermittent indirect driving for chain drive has been replaced by external synchronous timing belt drive which runs the lap roller continuously, to give more stable motion. The draft ratio between lap roller and feed roller is also optimized to suit various feed lengths. The noil setting graduation increased. The eccentricity of the wheel on the tension shaft, and its initial positioning angle has also been increased. This facilitates perfect gripping of cotton by the nipper for high speed operation, so that more precise setting of noil extraction can be achieved when using different cotton under different processing parameters. 14 Precise stopping at index 24 is designed to ensure the cotton web stay at its best prepared state and position, ready for tuft piecing, without damaging the fibers, so that stable and reliable quality production is guaranteed. The guide plate for cotton web is optimally designed, to ensure better web quality without creating accidental neps, another prerequisite for quality and high-speed production. Any processing faults on the web and sliver are checked by single-eye photocell devices. Any error is displayed on the man-machine interface directly, hence operator can tend to the problem quickly. The drafting system is of 3-over-5 type. The front and back draft are adjustable to meet the demands of different end uses using different lengths of fibers. The new driving system to the drafting rollers is housed on cast frame with simple structure. It is convenient for changing gears, with stable driving, and low noise level, with fine meshing of gears. The coiling guide has been improved to give trouble free coiling without choking at the trumpet. The coiler is designed with variable-speed drive to achieve optimal coiling. Tension of combed sliver in the coiler can be adjusted to prevent any accidental drafting, which greatly contribute to better evenness of sliver. Automatic lap mounting and empty spool ejecting mechanism are necessary features of high speed production. It not only improves machine productivity but also reduced labor intensity.
